National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month
A spotlight on our Field
During February, we celebrate our successes and raise awareness about how SBHCs improve access to health care services for children and adolescents and make a difference in their lives today and in the future. Many states plan legislative visits, state capitol visits, special recognition, youth advocacy events, and more.
All children and adolescents deserve to thrive and grow into the young adults we know they can be. But too many struggle because they lack access to health care services. School-based health care is the solution, bringing health care to where students already spend the majority of their time: in school. When health and education come together, great things happen—and healing takes place with our youth.
